About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Regional Head: Insurance to lead our short-term insurance business across Cape Town’s Southern and Northern Suburbs. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for driving regional performance, compliance, talent development, and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the regional business plan to grow market share and revenue
  • Drive performance across key revenue drivers: cancellations, cross-selling, up-selling, and new business
  • Translate regional strategy into clear objectives for teams and individuals
  • Achieve financial targets and manage regional budgets
  • Implement and maintain superior client service models and SOPs
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory standards
  • Manage and maintain product provider relationships
  • Oversee talent management, succession planning, and EE objectives
  • Align recruitment, performance management, and development strategies with business needs
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and development
  • Contribute towards achieving regional BBBEE scorecard targets

Requirements

  • Relevant Degree
  • FAIS compliant with NQF 5 Insurance qualification
  • Minimum 10 years experience in short-term insurance, preferably in an intermediary environment
  • At least 5 years senior leadership experience managing similar-sized operations
  • Proven ability to lead commercial and personal lines broking operations
  • Strong understanding of regulatory, compliance, and governance requirements
