Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Litigation Secretary to join our team at Marais Muller Hendricks Attorneys in Cape Town. With a minimum of 8 years experience as a litigation secretary (High Court), you will provide administrative support to our senior attorneys, handling tasks such as typing and formatting of letters and pleadings, diary management, and filing of pleadings and correspondence.
Key Responsibilities
- Typing and formatting of letters and pleadings
- Diary management and coordination of appointments and consultations
- Handling incoming and outgoing calls
- Filing of pleadings and correspondence (manual and electronic)
- Managing court dates, deadlines, and follow-ups
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years experience as a litigation secretary (High Court)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software systems
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and with attention to detail
Qualifications
- Completed relevant formal education or certification
Salary & Benefits
- R15,000 – R20,000 per month (commensurate with experience)
