Job Summary
Position: Senior Software Developer
Location: Cape Town, Western Cape (Hybrid)
Company Profile: Our client is a well-established logistics company. They are committed to providing reliable transportation and distribution services to their clients, ensuring their satisfaction and trust in the services.
Job Function: We are seeking a talented Senior Software Developer to join our clients development team. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about web development, has a solid understanding of GCP, AWS, ReactJS, React Native, and is eager to grow their skills in a collaborative environment. The team accommodates hybrid work, provided you have a reliable internet connection.
Key Performance Areas:
- Design and implement scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
- (Optional) Contribute to our frontend stack using React and React native where applicable
- Collaborate closely with product owners and tech leads to shape and scope features
- Lead by example through clean, maintainable, well-tested code
- Guide and mentor mid-level developers in best practices and technical direction
- Help improve our architecture, performance, and DevOps practices
- Contribute to sprint planning and Agile delivery processes
Skills and Experience Required:
Our Tech Stack
- Backend: Java Spring Boot (GCP) & Serverless (AWS)
- Frontend: ReactJS
- Mobile: React Native
- Multicloud: Google Cloud Platform (GCP) & Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- DevOps: GitHub Actions, Docker, Terraform
What Were Looking For
- 6+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot
- (Bonus) Solid experience with React or modern frontend frameworks
- Strong understanding of system architecture, databases, and API design
- Experience working in Agile product teams
- Solid mentorship and technical leadership skills
- Solid GCP and/or AWS experience
Salary:
- Market Related Depending on experience
