About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Stock Clerk with beverage industry experience to join their team in Cape Town, WC. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory control processes, ensuring stock availability, monitoring stock age and losses, and maintaining accurate documentation in SAP.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory control for finished goods and raw materials.
- Conduct stock counts in accordance with company standards and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to all pre-stock take procedures.
- Compile and obtain sign-off on daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.
- Investigate and resolve variances in stock counts.
- Monitor stock cover and communicate with Planning when necessary.
- Ensure accurate documentation for inter-depot stock movements.
- Follow up on in-transit shipments and resolve any discrepancies.
- Oversee proof of delivery processes and resolve invoice queries.
- Apply the FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principle for stock rotation.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping.
- Actively engage in operational planning and budgeting.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with financial and operational controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in a relevant field.
- Must come from a Beverage industry background.
- Up to 8 years of experience in inventory control or a related operational role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Intermediate level).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve functional issues.
- Effective communication skills for routine work tasks and coordination.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
