About the Role

The successful candidate will lead our factory operations, driving performance and efficiency to meet production targets while ensuring compliance with company standards, health and safety regulations, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing daily factory operations to ensure production targets are met efficiently and consistently.
  • Planning, coordinating, and overseeing production schedules to optimize output and minimize downtime.
  • Ensuring all manufacturing processes comply with company standards, health and safety regulations, and quality requirements.
  • Monitoring production performance, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Overseeing machinery maintenance and ensuring equipment is operating at optimal levels.
  • Managing raw material usage and ensuring adequate stock levels to meet production demands.
  • Leading, coaching, and developing factory staff to improve productivity and performance.
  • Ensuring proper housekeeping and adherence to safety protocols across the factory.
  • Collaborating with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to align production with business needs.
  • Preparing and presenting production reports, KPIs, and operational insights to senior management.
  • Driving cost control initiatives and reducing waste across production processes.
  • Implementing and maintaining quality control systems and standards.
  • Managing production budgets and monitoring expenses against targets.
  • Handling staff scheduling, discipline, and performance management.
  • Ensuring compliance with labour legislation and company policies.
  • Supporting new product development and process improvements.
  • Maintaining accurate production records and documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Management, Logistics, or a related field
  • Proven management experience in a food manufacturing role
  • Experience in meat processing or meat manufactured goods is an advantage
