About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Temporary Sous Chef to join our luxury catering operation in Cape Town. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional fine-dining cuisine to an elite clientele in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and execution of high-end, fine dining menus
- Maintain immaculate kitchen standards and presentation at all times
- Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations
- Ensure consistency, quality and excellence in every dish produced
- Work efficiently to tight deadlines without compromising on quality
- Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene and operational standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior CDP
- Fine dining and luxury catering experience is essential
- Calm, organised and adaptable under pressure
- Passionate about detail, presentation and premium ingredients
- Professional, reliable and team-oriented
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (e.g. Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts)
