About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Wheel Alignment Technician/Specialist to join our team at Route Management in Cape Town. As a key member of our fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the precision and reliability of our heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Key Responsibilities

Perform precise wheel alignment on heavy-duty trucks and trailers using computerised alignment equipment.
Inspect and assess steering, suspension, and axle systems for wear, damage, or misalignment.
Identify and report defects and recommend corrective action.
Maintain alignment equipment and tools in good working condition.
Complete all job cards and service reports accurately and on time.
Ensure compliance with workshop safety and quality standards.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years experience in wheel alignment on heavy-duty vehicles (trucks, trailers, buses).
Solid understanding of axle geometry, suspension systems, and chassis alignment.
Proficiency in using computerised wheel alignment systems.
Trade qualification in Diesel Mechanic or related field (advantageous).
Valid drivers license (Code 10/14 preferred).
Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

Qualifications

Completed trade qualification in a relevant field.
Matric certificate (if not already completed).
