About the Role
The Executive Head: Corporate Affairs provides strategic leadership and enterprise-wide influence in managing Rand Mutual Admin Services’ (RMA) reputation, stakeholder relationships, and corporate citizenship. This role ensures that RMA’s positioning as a trusted social insurer is reinforced through transparent communication, effective stakeholder engagement, and proactive governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute RMA’s corporate affairs strategy, aligning with organisational vision and social insurance mandate.
- Position RMA as a thought leader in insurance, asset management, and health through proactive reputation management.
- Build and sustain trust-based relationships with regulators, government, industry bodies, policyholders, and communities.
- Act as a key influencer in shaping policy and industry dialogue relevant to social insurance.
- Lead integrated communication strategies, ensuring consistency, transparency, and alignment with enterprise objectives.
- Serve as custodian of RMA’s reputation, managing issues and crises with resilience and credibility.
- Champion RMA’s role as a social insurer, embedding societal impact into corporate affairs initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with communication governance, regulatory frameworks, and ethical standards.
- Proactively manage reputational risk and embed crisis readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
- 10 years senior leadership experience in corporate affairs, preferably within insurance or financial services.
- Proven track record in brand positioning, stakeholder engagement, and external representation.
- Strong knowledge of COIDA, life insurance products, and regulatory frameworks.
