About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrative Support Officer to provide day-to-day office and operational support, assisting with communication, client coordination, and PR-related administrative tasks to ensure smooth internal and external communication processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to management and staff
- Prepare, format, and manage documents (reports, proposals, correspondence)
- Maintain filing systems (electronic and manual)
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and client inquiries professionally
- Schedule meetings, appointments, and manage calendars
- Assist with procurement and office supplies management
- Support tender and proposal documentation when required
- Coordinate deliveries, collections, and logistics
- Maintain accurate records and databases
- Assist with client communication, media coordination, and PR-related tasks
- Support internal and external communication initiatives
Requirements
- South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34
- Must not have participated on the YES programme before
- Matric
- Diploma or Certificate in Administration, Public Relations, or Communications is an advantage
- Basic understanding of Public Relations, Marketing, or Corporate Communications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and accuracy
