Centurion Occupational Health and Safety Officer
Employment: Permanent, Full time position. Office based, working hours Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00.
Area: Centurion, Gauteng
Salary: R20 000.00 R25 000.00 CTC per month
Benefits: Provident Fund and Annual Bonus
Essential Legal Requirements: Must be a South African born citizen with a Clean Criminal background and ITC (financial history) – checks will be done on shortlisted applicant.
Qualifications and work experience requirements:
Matric
SAMTRAC certified
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Incident investigation certificate (Any level).
Must possess the ability to deal with difficult situations.
Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
A good understanding of ISO standards (Specifically ISO 45001 and ISO 9001).
Job Purpose:
– To implement and ensure that all rules and regulations are followed according to the OHS Act No. 85 of 1993 and regulations.
– Keeping all necessary staff members informed of any changes regarding the OHS Act.
– To ensure that appropriate safety controls are implemented where necessary.
– To act against any staff members that do not abide by the rules and regulations of the Act.
– Responsible for organizing OHS training of employees and executives.
– Design and deliver health and safety strategies and initiatives within the scope of the business.
– Advising on the compliance of safety policies and documents.

Reporting to: OHS Supervisor / Manager
