Job Summary
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or related field.
- Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a GIS Developer, GIS Analyst, or similar role.
Requirements:
- Proficiency with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Experience with programming languages (Python, JavaScript, SQL).
- Familiarity with spatial databases (PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Oracle Spatial).
- Knowledge of web mapping frameworks (Leaflet, OpenLayers, ArcGIS API for JavaScript).
- Experience with GIS server technologies (ArcGIS Server, GeoServer).
- Ability to work with large datasets and create effective visualizations.
KPA’s (Key Performance Areas):
- Design, develop, and implement GIS applications using platforms such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar tools.
- Manage and manipulate geospatial datasets, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and integrity.
- Perform spatial analysis and modeling to generate insights and visualizations.
- Create high-quality maps, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate geospatial information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for GIS applications.
- Document GIS processes, workflows, and data sources to ensure knowledge sharing and efficient project handover.
