Job Description

Responsibilities HR Strategy & Operations Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with the companys operational goals. Provide strategic HR support to Operations and Store Management teams across multiple QSR locations. Ensure HR practices support operational efficiency, employee engagement, and staff retention. Maintain HR governance and compliance across all stores. Recruitment & Talent Management Manage end-to-end recruitment for store-level and management positions across multiple stores. Implement recruitment strategies to attract high-performing candidates in the QSR environment. Conduct interviews, assessments, and onboarding processes. Oversee probation reviews and employee confirmations. Employee Relations & Labour Compliance Guide store management on disciplinary procedures, grievances, and performance management. Chair disciplinary hearings and ensure fair and legally compliant processes. Represent the company at CCMA conciliations and arbitrations when required. Ensure compliance with South African labour legislation, including BCEA, LRA, and EEA. Manage industrial relations issues and promote a positive employee relations environment. Payroll & HR Administration Oversee payroll processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely salary payments. Manage payroll inputs, including overtime, leave, deductions, and staff changes. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as PAYE, UIF, and other payroll-related legislation. Maintain accurate HR records, employee files, and HR reporting. Training & Development Identify training needs across stores and support employee development initiatives. Assist in implementing training programs for store management and staff. Promote leadership development and succession planning within the business. Performance Management Implement and manage performance management systems across stores. Support store managers with performance improvement plans and employee development strategies. Monitor staff productivity and engagement levels. Multi-Store HR Support Conduct regular store visits to support management and staff. Ensure consistent HR practices and policies across all locations. Support operational teams with workforce planning and staffing levels. HR Reporting & Compliance Prepare HR reports on staffing levels, turnover, absenteeism, and labour costs. Ensure HR compliance audits are conducted regularly across stores. Support BBBEE, Employment Equity, and Skills Development initiatives where applicable. Requirements Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management or Industrial Psychology . Minimum 5 years HR experience , preferably within the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), hospitality, or retail sector . SAGE 400 Excel experience Proven experience managing HR for multi-store operations . Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation . Experience handling CCMA cases, disciplinary hearings, and employee relations matters . Experience overseeing or managing payroll processes . Valid drivers license and willingness to travel between stores. Strong employee relations and conflict resolution skills Excellent knowledge of labour law and CCMA procedures High attention to detail and strong administrative skills Ability to work in a fast-paced QSR environment Strong leadership and coaching ability Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High level of integrity and confidentiality
