About the Role
Hire Resolves client in the IT industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Master Data Manager in Centurion, Gauteng. This exciting opportunity features a hybrid work model.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that the OPCO reference data is of the highest quality and is supported via good data governance practices.
- Ensure compliance with CA&S Group and regulatory policies as it relates to data.
- Collaborate with IT, finance, operations, and sales teams to establish and maintain high-quality master data that supports business intelligence, analytics, and operational efficiencies.
- Review new data to evaluate its quality and assess the cleaning actions required.
- Review new and current data to see what value it retains.
- Review new data to decide if its worth ingesting.
- Directly or indirectly clean the new data. Inform the ETL process by giving concise requirements to the technical team where required.
- Seek out new data that will add value.
- Ensure that errors are spotted early and corrected swiftly.
- Minimize destructive effects of work on data.
- Harness RPA and automation to ensure mechanical/repetitive tasks are not manual.
- Design processes with a volume and scale mindset.
Requirements
A senior certificate or a tertiary diploma.
5-10 years of experience working with systems, primarily in systems management (e.g., product lists).
Expert-level Excel skills.
Experience with ERP or operational systems (e.g., SAP, SAGE, Optimize).
Experience cleaning and validating large datasets.
Experience and a solid understanding of SQL.
A solid understanding of fundamental data concepts (e.g., what a data collection is).
Some experience with workflow/automation tools is preferable.
