Job Description
You will:
- Design, develop, test, manufacture, and implement mechanical systems and components
- Create detailed CAD designs and technical drawings
- Build and test prototypes to validate performance and reliability
- Conduct structured experiments, analyse data, and interpret results
- Identify emerging problems and engineer effective, practical solutions
- Evaluate product performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards
- Modify and optimise designs to eliminate malfunctions
- Estimate project scope and product costing
- Prepare engineering manuals, installation guides, commissioning documentation, and product reports
- Measure precision components using vernier calipers and micrometres
- Collaborate with operators and internal teams to refine designs
- Ensure compliance with OHS, ISO, SANS, IEC, and other applicable standards
What You Bring
- Matric
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the mechanical engineering field
- Strong CAD proficiency
- Solid computer literacy (MS Office suite)
- Experience with PDM systems (advantageous)
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime when required
- Fluency in English and Afrikaans
