Paralegal Legal Assistant Centurion
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Paralegal / Legal Assistant to provide comprehensive support to our client legal team. The successful candidate will assist attorneys with legal research, document preparation, case management, and administrative tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the firm.
Salary: Depends on experience
Minimum Requirements:
Matric with Paralegal certificate, diploma, or relevant qualification
3+ years experience in a paralegal or legal assistant role (law firm experience preferred)
Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal practice management software
Exceptional organisational and time management skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and contracts.
Conduct legal research and compile findings for attorney review.
Organise and maintain case files, both electronic and physical.
Assist with the preparation and filing of court documents and pleadings.
Liaise with clients, courts, and other stakeholders on behalf of attorneys.
Manage attorneys calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments.
Assist with discovery processes, including document collection and review.
Prepare summaries, reports, and case chronologies as required.
Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Perform general administrative duties to support the legal team.
