About the Role

The Construction Manager will oversee pavement construction projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and adhering to quality, safety, and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage pavement construction projects, including earthworks, layerworks, surfacing, and drainage
Oversee construction teams, subcontractors, and site personnel
Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental regulations
Prepare and monitor construction programmes and schedules
Manage plant, equipment, materials, and site resources
Liaise with engineers, consultants, and clients
Monitor project progress, cost control, and reporting
Ensure adherence to contract specifications and standards

Requirements

BSc / BEng / BTech / National Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
Registered with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) as: A Pr CM Professional Construction Manager, or A Pr CPM Professional Construction Project Manager
Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil construction
Proven experience in road and pavement works (BSM, asphalt, reseals, slurry, etc.)
Knowledge of GCC / FIDIC / NEC contracts
