About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Fire Engineer to join our team in Centurion. As a key member of our building services department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing fire protection systems that meet stringent regulatory requirements. With your expertise in engineering calculations and project management, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of occupants in various settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct fire risk analysis to identify potential hazards
- Design and detail fire systems, including automatic sprinklers, smoke detection, evacuation systems, and smoke ventilation
- Apply engineering calculations for gas suppression and other relevant tasks
- Plan, design, organize, and control complete projects
- Prepare and present technical reports, financial reports, tender documentation, etc.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery
Requirements
- BSc/B Eng (Mechanical) degree
- Minimum of 5-8 years consulting experience in building services
- Registered with ECSA as a Candidate Engineer is optional
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- Completed BSc or BEng degree in Mechanical Engineering
