About the Role
The Centurion: Specialist: Fraud Detection role is a critical position that requires expertise in fraud detection analysis, system implementation, and stakeholder management. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of fraud intelligence, implementing control enhancements, and collaborating with law enforcement agencies to prevent fraudulent activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse incidents that lead to fraud detection
- Conduct thorough research suspected fraud allegations to gather evidence in determining a fraud activity
- Implement fraud detection systems equipped to adapt to new threats as they emerge
- Drive continuous harvesting of insights from fraud loss events and build fraud intelligence
- Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of proposed system, control, and detection enhancements
- Ensure required systems are available for use, suitable rules are applied, and fraud intervention processes are executed within required timelines and compliance standards
- Conduct Regular System Audits to identify vulnerabilities and system gaps
- Develop, review, and implement departmental policies and procedures and processes
- Track and analyse potential fraud trends and performance
- Compile and communicate accurate and timely reports to track progress made
