Deputy General Manager Luxury Lodge | Ceres, Western Cape
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and professional Deputy General Manager to join a luxury lodge in Ceres, Western Cape. This live-in role offers a key leadership opportunity to support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the General Manager in managing all aspects of lodge operations, including front-of-house, housekeeping, food and beverage, and guest services

Lead, mentor, and motivate staff across all departments to maintain high standards of service and professionalism

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations throughout the lodge

Support budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting to maintain operational efficiency and profitability

Oversee guest relations, handling enquiries, feedback, and resolving issues promptly and professionally

Collaborate with department heads to implement operational policies, procedures, and quality standards

Drive initiatives to enhance guest experience, staff engagement, and overall lodge performance

Act as the General Manager in their absence, making operational decisions and maintaining standards
Requirements:

Proven experience in a senior management or Deputy General Manager role within luxury hospitality

Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills

Commercially aware with experience managing budgets, costs, and operational efficiency

Professional, proactive, and guest-focused approach

Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards

Willingness to live and work in a remote lodge environment
