Job Description
ROLE PURPOSE:
To take responsibility for financial compliance, corporate governance support, contract management, and payroll processing, ensuring adherence to applicable legislation and supporting business operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with South African tax legislation and applicable foreign jurisdictions
- Maintain SARB approvals and regulatory requirements
- Manage internal and external audit processes
- Monitor and strengthen internal controls
- Track and interpret changes in financial legislation
Corporate Governance
- Support the Company Secretary with governance processes
- Prepare board and committee documentation
- Attend meetings, record minutes, and track action items
Contract & Legal Administration
- Review and monitor contracts, renewals, and compliance obligations
- Support drafting and finalisation of agreements
- Assist with due diligence processes
- Maintain a central contracts repository
Payroll & Remuneration
- Oversee monthly payroll processing and reconciliations
- Maintain remuneration records for reporting purposes
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles advantageous
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in accounting, audit, or compliance
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Tax legislation
- IFRS
- Companies Act and King IV
- B-BBEE, POPIA, and FIC
- Proficient in Microsoft-based accounting and payroll systems
- Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Effective communication skills
