About the Role

Sagen Advisory is seeking a Finance Manager to join its team for the Southern African region and will be based in Cape Town. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering accurate, complete, and timely financial information across a group of companies, while providing strategic financial guidance to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial operations and ensure timely, reliable reporting across all entities.
  • Supervise key functions including cash management, payables, receivables, payroll, and asset accounting.
  • Drive month-end and year-end closure processes and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead the compilation of statutory financial statements and regulatory submissions.
  • Manage audit engagements and ensure readiness for review.

Requirements

  • Chartered Accountant – CA(SA) designation or a relevant Professional Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Honors or postgraduate qualification advantageous
  • Minimum 8 years experience in a finance role
  • Strong financial reporting experience
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities
  • Experience in the South African financial and regulatory environment
  • Exposure to ERP systems, software, and processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
