About the Role
Are you passionate about construction safety and ready to make an impact on a high-profile renewable energy project? Our client is seeking three proactive Health & Safety Officers for an exciting 18-month contract, working on a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) initiative tied to one of South Africa’s major energy utilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations during construction phases
- Work on-site at one of three project locations (all within close proximity)
- Contribute to South Africa’s transition to more sustainable energy infrastructure
- Manage the implementation of safety protocols and procedures
Requirements
- Degree in a construction-related field
- 5+ years on-site experience in the construction industry
- Completed health and safety training/certification
- Experience on large-scale projects such as power stations, solar farms, mining operations, or water utilities
- Familiarity with battery or energy storage systems is highly advantageous
