Job Description
Our Business Development Manager (BDM) will focus on driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, building relationships, and developing strategies. He / She will play a crucial role in expanding our organisations market reach and increase our revenue. Our Business Development Manager will also be involved in all aspects of business development from market research and lead generation to negotiating deals and managing client relationships.
Directly reporting to the Senior Business Development Manager

Job Role and Responsibilities
Identifying and researching new business opportunities
Analyzing market trends, identifying potential target markets, and researching leads.
Developing and implementing business development strategies
Our Business Development Manager will create plans to achieve growth objectives, including identifying new markets and client needs.
Educating customers and stakeholders
The BDM will be responsible for explaining the value of products or services to potential clients and partners
Building and maintaining client relationships
The BDM will be involved in networking, attending industry events, and nurturing relationships with all our stakeholders.
Monitoring sales progress and performance
The BDM will be involved in tracking key metrics, analyzing data, and making adjustments to strategies in order to meet goals.
Collaborating with internal teams
Our BDM will work closely with sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
Negotiating and closing deals
Our BDM will leverage his / her communication and negotiation skills to secure new business and partnerships.
Administration
Updated business opportunities to be documented and communicated at all
Capturing Customer engagement data into Sales Mobility platform Such as
When prospect is identified
When key stakeholders are identified
Emails
Telephone calls
Visits
Proper, efficient and effective use of the Sales Mobility platform used at the organisation which includes relevant customer feedback.
All relevant information regarding the engagement to be captured.
Efficient, Effective, Quality reporting on all sales and marketing aspects of the business that will include competitor activity and
Professional and relevant written communications between company and
Ensure all necessary guidelines strictly adhered to
Minimum qualifications:
Sales related qualification, with at least 5 years experience in similar role and / or a Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is often preferred.
Proven experience in a commercial or business development role, preferably within a logistics or supply chain environment.
Additional qualifications:
Knowledge of Logistics and Supply Chain Management: A solid understanding of logistics principles, processes, and best practices.
