The purpose of the Chef’s role is to plan daily menus, prepare high quality dishes, ensure meals are prepared on time whilst adhering to all health and safety requirements, and order and manage stock in a cost effective manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously producing exciting new food items/specials
- Create a prep list for the kitchen staff
- Manage food cost and inventory
- Maintain health and safety standards
- Ensure compliance with health codes and regulations
- Ordering of stock
- Do stock takes
- Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
Experience & Behavioural Competencies
- 3 to 5 years working experience in a similar environment
- GAAP would be advantageous
- Good written, verbal, telephonic and interpersonal communication skills
- A positive attitude
- Multitasking skills
- Professionalism, friendliness and politeness

- Leadership skills
