Job Summary
Our client is a reputable panel shop dedicated to providing top-quality automotive repair services. They are seeking a meticulous and organized Costing Clerk to join their team, ensuring accurate financial tracking and reporting for their operations in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate cost estimates for repairs and parts.
- Analyze and record costs associated with labor, materials, and overhead.
- Collaborate with technicians and management to gather data for cost assessments.
- Review and verify invoices from suppliers and subcontractors for accuracy.
- Generate and maintain reports on job costing and financial performance.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Support management in identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a costing or accounting role, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes is a plus.
