About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Counter Sales Assistant with 13 years of experience in the car spare parts industry to join our team in Bluff, Durban. You will assist customers with product inquiries, identify the correct parts, and provide excellent service at the counter.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers at the sales counter with car spare parts inquiries
- Identify correct parts using catalogues, systems, and product knowledge
- Process sales, returns, quotations, and exchanges accurately
- Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked counter area
- Handle customer inquiries in-store, over the phone, and via email
- Assist with stock checks, inventory, and ordering
- Support the team in meeting sales and customer service targets
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) essential
- 13 years of experience in automotive spare parts or a similar industry
- Strong knowledge of car parts and components
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work with parts catalogues and POS systems
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
