Durban: Financial Accountant

Duties and Responsibilities: Manage and review daily financial transactions, including bank, petty cash, creditors, and journals Prepare and submit VAT, EMP201/EMP501, and monthly management reports Maintain accurate reconciliations, GL integrity, and supplier accounts Oversee payroll processing and related compliance Experience with Foreign payments and banks Drive proactive, cost-effective financial improvements Liaise with auditors, consultants, and SARS on financial matters Lead a small finance team and ensure timely task execution Requirements: BCom in Accounting / Advanced Diploma / B-Tech in finance (required) Articles and industry experience (advantageous) Proficiency in Pastel Evolution Minimum 5 years experience as Financial Accountant or in a similar role Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines Interpersonal skills Management style Attention to detail Ability to create and implement processes Ability to prioritise, be proactive Effective communication Team player Deadline driven-Ability to meet target dates
