Qualifications: Matric, electrical-oriented qualifications 2 years of experience with industrial battery chargers or related electrical equipment preferred. Strong understanding of AC/DC electrical systems and basic electronics. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals. Experience with brands such as GNB, EnerSys, Hawker, or similar is a plus. Valid drivers license and clean driving record (for field service roles). Skills : Electrical troubleshooting. Preventive maintenance Safety compliance Technical reporting/documentation Customer service Time management Key Responsibilities: Install, inspect, and service industrial battery chargers (single-phase and three-phase). Diagnose and repair faulty charger components, including circuit boards, transformers, diodes, and fuses. Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal charger performance and battery longevity. Use electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters, clamp meters, battery testers) to assess charger output and system health. Respond to service calls and complete repairs on-site or in-shop. Maintain accurate records of service performed, parts used, and time spent. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company protocols. Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams regarding service issues and recommendations. Keep up-to-date with new models, technologies, and manufacturer specifications.
