Travel Company that offers inbound travel packages ; specialising in providing innovative; high-quality travel solutions for international tour operators, travel agents and FIT & Group clients is looking for a Senior Inbound Consultant based in Durban ( hybrid working offered). The Senior Inbound Consultant will be responsible for handling and managing inbound travel requests from quotation through to booking confirmation ; ensuring exceptional levels of accuracy; creativity and service delivery. This role requires a strong knowledge of Southern African destinations ; proven operational skills and proficiency in Tourplan. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the companys growth and maintaining high standards of client satisfaction. Duties: Handle inbound travel enquiries from international wholesale agents and operators Prepare accurate and creative tailor-made quotations and itineraries using Tourplan. Negotiate rates and secure services with suppliers to achieve competitive margins. Convert quotes into confirmed bookings, ensuring seamless reservations and documentation. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers. Ensure all itineraries are costed correctly, with accurate and profitable profit margins. Monitor and manage booking files to ensure services are delivered as promised. Provide pre-departure support, including travel documentation and concierge-style assistance. Resolve operational issues swiftly and professionally. Mentor and guide junior consultants where necessary. Requirements: Grade 12 A formal travel & tourism qualification At least 35 years experience in inbound consulting within a DMC or tour operating environment. Strong working knowledge of Tourplan (a plus). Comprehensive understanding of Southern African destinations, products, and logistics. Proven track record in handling FIT and Group bookings. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (English essential; additional languages advantageous). High attention to detail and accuracy in costing and documentation. Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines. Strong client service orientation with problem-solving skills. Team player with a proactive, positive attitude.
