About the Role

As an Auto Electrician in our Pinetown workshop, you will be responsible for carrying out complex fault diagnostics, monitoring repair processes, and ensuring high-quality workmanship. You will also support colleagues in systematic faulty diagnosis, document results, and communicate technical innovations.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct visual inspection and/or on-board diagnosis during the pre-diagnosis step
Receive and check workshop orders for accuracy and understanding
Locate vehicles and drive them to the nearest workshop bay
Prepare operating equipment and bring necessary parts to the workshop bay
Perform all visual inspections, calibration work, adjustments
Identify deviations, irregularities, and unusual wear and tear
Administer parts process by requesting parts according to internal processes and procedures
Ensure warranty parts are tagged and handed over to the warranty department for storage

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Diesel Auto Electrician
Code 10 – 14 licence with PrDP
Read and write proficiency in English
Technical expertise, understanding, and knowledge required
