Durban: Short Term Insurance Underwriter

Key Responsibilities: Evaluate and underwrite insurance applications for commercial and domestic clients. Assess risks associated with Heavy Commercial Vehicles. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and brokers. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies. Provide expert advice and support to clients on insurance products and services. Independently manage underwriting processes with minimal supervision. Prepare and present underwriting reports and documentation. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Commercial and Domestic Underwriting, with a proven track record. Extensive experience in Heavy Commercial Vehicle underwriting. Minimum qualification of NQF level 4 in Short Term Insurance. Experience in personal and commercial underwriting. Completed Regulatory Examination (RE). Demonstrated ability to work independently without supervision. Must have own transport. Proven reliability and trustworthiness. Strong analytical and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Proficient in relevant computer software and underwriting tools. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
