Job Summary
We are currently seeking a highly skilled PLC Programmer to join an esteemed company in Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal. As a PLC Programmer, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of software across various platforms. Reporting directly to the Automation Engineering Manager, you will be part of a dynamic team that values teamwork, transparency, and accountability above all.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of PLC programming experience in the automotive industry (non-negotiable).
- Essential experience with Mitsubishi PLC programming, Omron and/or Toyopuc software.
- National Diploma and/or N3 in Electrical Engineering is advantageous.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Develop software in accordance with client specifications.
- Meet with customers onsite to discuss detailed requirements.
- Design hardware concepts prior to implementation.
- Manage documentation and backups.
- Oversee commissioning and handover processes.
- Adhere to health and safety requirements.
- Follow any other instructions given by the Automation Engineering Manager.
- Excellent time management skills.
- High level of motivation.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
