Van Schaik Bookstore is looking for a hands-on, customer-focused Buyer Assistant to assist the Category Buyers with daily operations and contribute to our purpose of serving the education sector. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager: Non-Books, the successful candidate will perform various duties incidental to the operation of stationery/product services as directed: Maintain product listings, pricing and changes on VSOS List approved products and confirm product details with suppliers List products as requested by stores through the “Non-stock items” on VSOS Place approved products on promotion when required Update supplier product and price changes upon supplier notifications Confirm sell prices with stores upon request Process assigned product quotations Source products and confirm pricing with suppliers Process orders with suppliers Assist stores with product enquiries Assist with adhoc office duties Attend supplier meetings Complete tasks given by Manager
