Job Description

The role is suited to a technically minded individual with a strong interest in automation and control systems . The successful candidate will be involved in PLC and HMI programming , factory testing, commissioning of machines and production lines, and on-site support. This is a hands-on role requiring both software and practical electrical fault-finding skills . Key Responsibilities PLC programming for machines and conveyor systems HMI development and configuration Offline programming and factory testing Machine and line commissioning in the factory and on customer sites Setup and commissioning of VSDs (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Yaskawa or similar) Networking of control systems Reading and interpreting electrical drawings Fault finding and troubleshooting within electrical control panels Hands-on modifications to control panels and field wiring where required Operator training and post-installation line support Remote standby support for troubleshooting as required Technical Requirements Exposure to PLC platforms such as Siemens, Mitsubishi and/or Omron Basic to intermediate understanding of industrial automation systems Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Comfortable working inside electrical panels Willingness to travel to sites for installation and commissioning Qualifications & Experience Relevant technical qualification or software course certification (advantageous) Practical experience in PLC / automation environments (advantageous) Strong willingness to learn and develop technically Personal Attributes Self-starter with a hands-on approach Team player Logical, methodical problem-solver Comfortable working in both factory and site environments
