About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Two Way Radio Technician/Installer and IT Technician to join our team in Durbanville. As a key member of our workshop, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our communication systems and providing excellent customer service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installations/de-installations of two-way radio units into various vehicle types (trucks and plant machinery) according to standard operating procedures
- Repair two-way radios of various makes and models to component level
- Install/program and set up radios and IT hardware/routers/PTP/IT networks
- Provide excellent communication skills & positive attitude with clients and staff in a professional and courteous manner
- Fault find and resolve on two-way radio and IT systems
- Follow company processes and work as a team within the workshop
- Utilize hand tools & electric machinery, drills etc. for solid maintenance and repair
- Prioritize and plan daily activities to ensure efficient workflow
Requirements
- Good IT experience
- Computer and MS Office literacy
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong service-orientation
- Methodical: prioritise and plan daily activities
- Energy & Innovation
- Ability to climb masts (working at heights)
- Valid Code 8 Drivers License
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
