Job Summary
Butchery Specialist required for a renowned retail store based in Mthatha
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Perform precise butchery tasks including cutting, deboning, trimming, and portioning meat cuts.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the butchery area.
- Ensure meat products are stored and handled according to safety and quality regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service, including answering questions and offering recommendations.
- Collaborate with team members to manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Butchery Specialist or similar role, with a strong understanding of meat cutting and preparation techniques.
- Knowledge of meat quality, cuts, and proper handling procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items and stand for extended periods.
