Job Description
- Post matric Technical or Sales qualification
- 4 years Sales experience
- Experience in the mining / earthmoving industry
- Willing to travel between East Rand and Mpumalanga when needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete and submit all sales-related administrative tasks and reports on a weekly basis
- Liaise with factories, Workshop and Technical Product Support teams to ensure customer satisfaction, product quality and efficient service delivery
- Schedule and conduct customer visits, both locally and cross-border, to explore new business opportunities
- Present and demonstrate MIN products and sales offerings to potential and existing clients
- Negotiate with clients to secure profitable sales agreements
- Prospect and develop new leads to expand the customer portfolio
- Attend client and management meetings to align on sales strategies and business objectives
- Participate in tender briefings and conduct site visits for proposal preparation
- Compile and submit all required documentation for tenders and requests for offers
- Gather market intelligence and stay informed on industry trends and competitor activity
- Ensure all documentation is signed off by authorized personnel in line with due diligence procedures
- Attend international training courses and industry conferences to enhance product and market knowledge
- Accompany customers on factory and expo visits to strengthen relationships and product understanding
- Demonstrate effective time management and execution in daily planning and tasks
- Collaborate with the Marketing Department to enhance brand visibility and promotional efforts
- Grow the existing client base and develop new business, with a key focus on the Mpumalanga region
- Manage a targeted list of customers in alignment with departmental strategy
- Provide weekly updates on planning, reporting, CRM entries, opportunities and quotations
- Maintain and increase market share through proactive sales efforts
- Facilitate the sale and rental of equipment across assigned regions
- Identify and capitalize on emerging market opportunities
