Job Description
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the drawing office.
- Ensure all drawings are delivered on time and meet project specifications.
- Keep all project drawings and records accurate and up to date.
- Develop and produce HVAC design drawings using AutoCAD and Revit, including ducting, piping, and electrical layouts.
- Create accurate manufacturing and installation drawings.
- Handle complete HVAC design processes, including:
- Air distribution calculations
- Duct and pipe sizing/layouts
- Diffuser and grille sizing
- Equipment selection
- Heat load calculations
- Compile comprehensive HVAC design documentation for on-site use and monitoring.
- Conduct site surveys and measurements for design input and as-built records.
- Develop standard drawing notes and legends to ensure consistency across projects.
- Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives within the drawing office.

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience using AutoCAD and Revit
- Matric / Grade 12 or technical equivalent
- Experience in building services
- Knowledge of building structures and site measuring (advantageous)
- HVAC industry experience (advantageous)
- Tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering (advantageous)
- Valid Code 08 driver’s licence
- Clear criminal and medical record, with ongoing compliance
