Job Description
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent from a reputable hotel school
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar Reservations role within a 5-star property
- Previous Front of House experience in a luxury hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of reservations systems and guest service standards
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with exceptional telephone etiquette
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; experience with Protel PMS advantageous
- Previous exposure to telesales or similar guest-facing sales functions
- High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity
- Ability to remain calm and organised in a demanding environment
- Strong attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and within a team
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly and professionally to website, email, and telephonic enquiries
- Accurately quote, capture, and confirm bookings while ensuring all guest details are complete
- Build rapport with guests during the booking process and maintain excellent customer relationships
- Resolve guest queries and complaints effectively, escalating to the Reservations Manager when required
- Maintain and update the guest database to ensure accuracy of all information
- Support the department with efficient administrative systems and procedures
- Maximise revenue through upselling of lodge experiences and other services
- Develop thorough product knowledge of all lodge offerings, activities, and unique selling points
- Liaise with lodge teams and relevant departments to communicate special requests and booking details
This is a live-in position with a 3/1 work cycle.
