Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Credit Manager to join our client’s logistics company in Edenvale, Gauteng. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the credit and collections functions within the organization, ensuring timely collection of accounts receivable and minimizing bad debt risk.

Responsibilities:

– Manage the credit approval process for new and existing customers
– Evaluate credit risk and establish credit limits for customers
– Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts
– Work with sales and customer service teams to resolve credit issues and disputes
– Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to minimize bad debt risk
– Prepare monthly reports on accounts receivable and credit performance
– Provide guidance and training to staff on credit and collections processes
– Collaborate with external credit agencies and legal counsel as needed

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit management within the logistics industry
– Strong knowledge of credit policies, procedures, and regulations
– Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
