Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings for manufacturing.
• Generate CAD files for CNC machining and fabrication.
• Create technical illustrations and images for marketing materials and manuals.
• Ensure compliance with industry and company standards.
• Collaborate with suppliers, clients, and internal teams on design requirements.
• Research and apply new technologies to improve product design and processes.
• Manage and maintain documentation and drawing records.
• Assist with ISO documentation, product improvements, and workflow optimization.
• Draft installation, operation, and maintenance manuals, user guides, and other technical documentation.
• Perform general draughting and design-related tasks as required.

Experience & Background

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a mechanical engineering environment.
• 3D design experience is essential (SolidWorks preferred).
• Strong exposure to valves, hydraulics, and piping systems.
• Experience with fabrication and manufacturing processes will be an advantage.
• Previous experience in a steel manufacturing or engineering industry is beneficial.

• Proficient in SolidWorks and PDM.
• Knowledge of Visualise and 3D rendering.
• Strong understanding of technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Matric / Grade 12 (essential).
• Certificate in 3D Design (preferably SolidWorks).
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport.

• Certificate in Project Management and Planning.
• Any other relevant technical training or certification.
