Job Summary

Experience and Qualifications:

Min of 5 to 7 years’ experience
Experience in commercial building and heavy industrial structures
Must be computer literate in CAD Software (AutoCAD, Inventor, Solidworks, Advanced Steel)
3D CAD modelling experience (AutoCad / Inventor / SolidEdge / ProE / SolidWorks or any other known mainstream CAD package).
Willing to perform site work, out-of-office.
Willing to travel for work.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Open communication approach with colleagues.
Good organizational skills.
Structured approach to problem solving and structured approach to day-to-day self-management.
Ability to perform the necessary engineering introspection and willingness to be challenged.
Showing initiative in challenging and unclear circumstances.
Professional appearance and conduct.
Team player and must work well within a project team
Able to do own drafting work (AutoCad, Inventor, Microstation, Advance steel etc)
Able to do Reinforcing detailing (Rebarmate, Prokon)

Duties &

Responsibilities:

Create manual drawings according to a design and / or use software packages – Drafting packages (AutoCAD, inventor, solid works, advanced steel)
Assist the Design Engineer with the generation of drawings.
Responsible for the approval of the drawings
Record keeping of drawings electronically
Registration of all drawing documents
Ability to perform the necessary engineering introspection and willingness to be challenged.
Showing initiative in challenging and unclear circumstances.
Professional appearance and conduct.
Under supervision of senior engineer, carry out detail designs using various computer software packages
Liaising with clients and a variety of professionals and form part of a coordination team
Check drawings prepared by others and sign off.
