About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Maintenance Handyman to join our team at a luxury wine estate in Franschhoek. As a solution-driven individual, you will excel in this role by being efficient, hardworking, and functioning well within a team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the facilities and equipment across all properties.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and annual servicing of tools, and equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various departments, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, making necessary repairs or arranging for external service providers when required.
• Perform general handyman tasks, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting, and general building repairs.
• Respond to building maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of tools, equipment, spare parts, and materials.
• Keep detailed records of all maintenance activities, including repairs.

Requirements

• Matric Certificate
• Technical qualification in Facilities/Maintenance/Engineering or related field (beneficial)
• Minimum of 2 years’ general electrical, plumbing, and/or air conditioning and heat pump repairs and maintenance experience
• Hotel or property maintenance experience would be advantageous
• Knowledge of safe working procedures of electrical tools and equipment
• Basic hand tools and electrical knowledge
• Valid Driver’s license (beneficial)
