Job Summary
Key
Responsibilities:
- Lead and champion the detailed design of solution architectures for the Modern Workplace, aligning with our digital transformation roadmap.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders across project lifecycles to drive the planning, design, and implementation of our solutions.
- Provide technical subject-matter expertise on one or more Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) areas.
- Translate business requirements into a comprehensive strategy for systems solutions, adopting a cloud-first approach and prioritizing security.
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills and the ability to drive for results.
- Leverage data and telemetry to make informed decisions and drive feedback into system design and implementation.
- Foster collaborative partnerships with other teams to improve products and processes.
- Utilize advanced technical expertise to coordinate multiple work streams and resolve complex issues.
- Serve as the face of the UEM Product, presenting to BMW leadership and building relationships with key stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with other products and engineering groups across BMW.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team environment and mentor early-career individuals.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor`s degree or equivalent
- 15+ years of experience in the IT industry
- 5+ years of experience in a Senior/Expert Architect environment
- Experience with architecture methodologies such as TOGAF, ITIL, and COBIT
Technical Skills:
- Deep knowledge of endpoint management tools like Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), VMware Workspace ONE, or similar platforms
- Understanding of endpoint security principles, including antivirus, anti-malware, firewalls, encryption, and security policies
- Proficiency with various operating systems, including Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile OSes (iOS, Android)
- Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs) as they pertain to endpoint connectivity and security
- Knowledge of cloud architecture across OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, and elastic scalability
- Skills in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for automation of tasks and configuration management
