• Matric / Grade 12
• Qualified accountant (CA / SAIPA preferred) with completed articles
• Proven experience managing a team
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Experience working with auditors
• SARS compliance knowledge
• Experience implementing accounting procedures and policies
• CIPC and Compensation Fund experience
• Preparation of management accounts
• Annual VAT reconciliations
• Compiling and reviewing budgets and forecasts
• Stock management experience beneficial
• Must be able to work independently and maintain confidentiality

 
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounting operations and lead a small accounting team
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including SARS and CIPC submissions
• Implement accounting policies and procedures
• Prepare management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
• Work with auditors during annual audits
• Perform annual VAT reconciliations and other statutory reporting
• Oversee stock accounting and reconciliations (if applicable)
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management

• Matric, with strong accounting understanding.
• Relevant Accounting qualification or similar background.
• Payroll experience using SAGE Pastel Payroll / SAGE Professional.
• Strong working knowledge of SAGE Accounting / SAGE One.
• Fully capable of preparing financial statements up to Trial Balance (TB).
• Ability to prepare and interpret Management Statements accurately.
• Must reside in Pretoria.
• Own reliable vehicle is essential.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

 
 
Duties will include but are not limited to:
Accounting

• Preparation, processing, and maintenance of financial records.
• Preparation of accounts up to Trial Balance.
• Compilation, analysis, and interpretation of Management Statements.
• Reconciliation of accounts and resolution of discrepancies.
• Oversight of SAGE Accounting functions and financial entries.
• Assisting with monthly reporting and financial controls.

 
Payroll

• Full payroll processing using SAGE Pastel Payroll / SAGE Professional.
• Maintain and update employee payroll records.
• Handle payroll-related queries.
• Ensure accurate monthly payroll preparation and submissions.
• Ad-hoc administrative duties and general filing.
