Job Summary
Responsibilities:
- Managing sales within the Company’s Africa dealer network in the Africa region
- Provide reports and analysis relevant to the sales activity for the region
- Forecast quarterly and annual targets budgets
- Report on regional sales results
- Create regional sales plans and targets in alignment with business objectives
- Manage order process including order planning between dealer network and OEM`s
- Manage the product line up, new model introduction and model placement within the markets as well as managing the pricing function, in collaboration with the marketing and finance departments
- Participate in the budget process relating to the sales function and target setting. Ensure alignment of the marketing functions to best support sales
- Ensure sales training is in place for the region and that the region complies with all OEM training requirements
- Regular in-country dealer visits
- Support Dealer Network with operation
- Develop new Dealership staff
- Evaluate Dealership and individual performances
- Review of the dealership`s sales performance vs. targets
- Conduct dealership audits
- Review of the dealership`s C.S.I figures
- Review and analyze market share and performance vs competitors
- Ensure Company policies/processes are being followed within the dealerships
- Action plans for improvement of sales volumes
- Ensure correct model mix
- Prepare and review the annual budget for the area of responsibility
- Analyze regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth
- Address potential problems and suggest prompt solutions
- Participate in decisions for expansion or business plans for new Dealers
- Suggest new services/products and innovative sales techniques to increase customer satisfaction
- Check ageing stock and ensure actions plans are in place
- Assisting with case study, prospecting and acquisition of new dealers for the East Africa region
- Development and implementation of used car programs in the various markets
- Reconciliation of sales and market data
Requirements:
- 2-5 proven work experience as a Regional Sales Manager, Area Manager, Dealer Development, or similar senior sales role
- Matric
- Post graduate business-related qualification advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license
Skills:
- Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs)
- Familiarity with CRM software
- Understanding of Dealer operations
- Ability to lead and motivate a high-performance Dealer Network
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude
- Availability to travel as needed
