Job Summary
We are looking for a Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) for a multinational company based in Maputo and Operate in South Africa. This professional will be responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies, managing suppliers, and optimizing costs and processes.Requirements- Bachelor`s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Economics, or related fields.- Minimum of 5 years of experience in FMCG, major supermarkets, or food and beverage distribution.- Professional certification in Purchasing and Supply (e.g., CPSM, CPIM, CSCP) preferred.- Expertise in implementation of risk management to monitor and mitigate risks with international suppliers, enhancing supply chain resilience.- Expertise in regulatory and compliance materials, ensuring adherence to all operational standards, including food safety, health, and occupational safety.- Proven experience in negotiating and managing contracts with international suppliers, ensuring advantageous terms and global quality standards.
