About the Role
The Commercial Parts Claims Administrator role at Select Motor Recruitment in Johannesburg Central requires a skilled and detail-oriented individual to manage claims, audits, and liaisons for commercial vehicle parts. The successful candidate will apply judgment on claims strategy, assess quotations, and process windscreen payments while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply judgment on claims strategy with partially damaged vehicles to determine method of handling each claim
- Apply pre-plan judgment on quantum vs. agreed value
- Assess, plan and check quotations at reporting
- Grant authorisation for windscreen repairs when the Claims Administrator is not available
- Process windscreen payments when the Claims Administrator is not available
- Check/audit the mark-up on spares immediately and ensure accuracy
- Ensure correct discounts from Agents on parts purchased are given and invoiced accordingly
- Audit claim files (casting, fairness and accuracy)
- Recommend, resolve and address queries with Panel beaters
- Attend to all ad hoc tasks when required
Requirements
- Grade 12
- PC Literate (MS Office)
- Good understanding of commercial vehicle components, original equipment manufacturer vs alternate
- Interpersonal competencies
- Communicates clearly and reasons logically (written and verbal)
