Job Description
Assist the BCI (Business, Compliance & Information )Team by creating simple, clear content and training material to support staff learning and awareness across compliance, processes and technology systems. The candidate will begin by supporting training sessions and will deliver training independently once confident.
Key Responsibilities (Entry-Level)
- Create visual learning and awareness material using Canva and Google tools
- Format and maintain user guides, templates and training packs
- Draft simple explainer notes and quick reference guides from the information provided
- Assist with the preparation and scheduling of training sessions
- Shadow senior BCI facilitators during compliance and technology training
- Assist with training administration (sign-in sheets, handouts, room set-up, feedback forms).
- Once ready, deliver portions of internal training on topics such as:
– POPIA basics
– PAIA awareness
– RDMS use
– Google Workspace best practice
– GenAI responsible-use principles - Maintain shared drives containing training files and updated materials
- Support general BCI projects linked to communication or learning roll-outs.
Skills and Qualities Required
- Passion for content creation and helping others learn.
- Clear communication skills and interest in simplifying information.
- Basic Canva or document design familiarity (or strong willingness to learn).
- Competent in Google Workspace (or eager to develop skills rapidly).
- Comfortable progressing from shadowing to presenting when confident.
- Organised, proactive and curious about compliance and technology.
Minimum Requirements:
- South African unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
- Must not have participated on the YES programme before.
- Matric Certificate (with results).
- Diploma or Degree in Media or any related qualification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and tender submission portals.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
