About the Role
The Cross Border Logistics Controller will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our logistics department, ensuring seamless and efficient cross-border transactions. This role requires strong knowledge of customs regulations, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Submit customer entries and collect in accordance with requirements.
- Process acquittals.
- Assist the operations team with general administration.
- Resolve acquittal-related queries with all relevant role players and provide feedback to management.
- Maintain allocated bond registers.
- Create manifests and waybills on ZIMRA ASYCUDA WORLD SYSTEM, ACS, MCNET.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Attend to drivers after hours and on weekends.
- Perform other ad hoc duties as required.
- Utilize Vehicle Tracking System in such a manner that all work is performed and presented in an accurate and uniform manner.
- Manage the administrative functions of the Vehicle Tracking System.
- Provide feedback to management regarding all operational matters.
- Plan, execute, and manage vehicle deliveries in line with operational principles and performance standards.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Tertiary qualification in Logistics (advantageous)
- At least 5 years Customs knowledge and clearing experience (import and export)
- Strong reporting and administration ability
- Completely conversant with Microsoft Office
- Valid Driver’s License
- Knowledge of ZIMRA ASYCUDA WORLD SYSTEM, ACS, MCNET.
